Jean Odetta (Gormley) Agrey

HURLEY, Wis. - Jean (Gormley) Agrey, 86, a lifelong resident of Hurley, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.

Jean was born on March 13, 1934, in Hurley, the oldest of 12 children to John and Ione (Nelson) Gormley. She attended school in Hurley.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Carol Anderson, Brown Deer; two granddaughters, Ashley (John) Keenan and Megan (James) Jens, both of Milwaukee; a grandson, Jack Halter, Dallas, Texas; two great-grandsons, Jake Jens and Logan Keenen; five sisters, Phyllis Sunie, Ironwood, Michigan, Marcella Rhiem, Sheboygan, Mary (Hank) Pospeck, Hoyt Lakes, Minnesota, Lois White, Beaumont, Texas, and Evelyn (Don) Hakkinen, Ironwood; two brothers, Wayne (Shirley) Gormley and Tim (Liz) Gormley, both of Chippewa Falls; her brother-in-law, George Wesa; numerous nieces and nephews; and several cousins, including special cousin, Shirley Selin, Bessemer, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Linda Baldwin; four sisters, Carol Gormley, Hazel Gormley, Verna Wesa and Elaine Maderas; and four brothers-in-law, Ernie Sunie, Roy White, Charles Rhiem and Allen Maderas.

Jean's family is honoring her life in a private funeral service.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley, who provided comfort and loving care to Jean while she was a resident.
