Sharon Dee Gheller

IRONWOOD, Mich. —Sharon Dee Gheller, 56, of Ironwood, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at her home.

Sharon was born on Feb. 9, 1964, in Flint, the daughter of Ronald and Bonnie Rodgers. She graduated from Flint Northern High School.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Richard; two stepdaughters, Riki Gheller and Joy Roe; her father-in-law, Bunny Gheller; her brothers and sisters, Jim (Kelly) Gheller, Brian (Tamala) Gheller and Gary (Karen) Gheller; her mother-in-law, Janice Moss; her brother, Randy Rodgers and his family, all of Flint; and many nieces and nephews. 

Sharon was a kind soul who loved animals and everyone she ever met along her life’s journey. After moving to Ironwood, she became the first woman ever to be inducted into the Piave Society. She enjoyed the comforts of home surrounded by friends and family. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed feeding the less fortunate and critters of all kinds. Gardening was another passion for Sharon as she loved to keep her home beautiful. Working alongside her husband, Richard, was her favorite pastime.

The family is honoring her life in a private service.
