Edward 'Junior' Popko

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Edward "Junior" Popko, 88, of Ironwood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Facility in Ironwood.

He was born on June 4, 1932, in Oma, Wisconsin, son of Edward and Anna (Kasieta) Popko.

Edward was a long-time paper carrier for the Daily Globe. He could often be seen pushing his lawnmower around town, and he would help older folks by doing errands for them. He lived a long fruitful life and had many friends in Ironwood.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Popko; mother and stepfather, Anna and Clarence Singleton; sisters, Francis Rodak and Dolores Hetzek; and brother, Donald Singleton.

Edward is survived by his sister, Bonnie (Daniel) Stella; sister-in-law, Patty Singleton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
