HANCOCK — As the number of regional COVID-19 cases continues to jump, the Western Upper Peninsula Heath Department announced Monday that it has begun prioritizing its case investigations and not everyone may be contacted by the health department.
The region of Gogebic, Ontonagon, Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw counties the health department serves has had over 750 cases in the last three weeks, according to department officials, straining the department’s resources.
