IRONWOOD, Mich. - Alvin M. Paulsen, 89, of Ironwood, passed away on Dec. 1, 2020.
Alvin was born in Minneapolis on May 22, 1931, son of the late Alvin Paulsen Sr. and Esther Sondergaard Paulsen. Alvin was married to the former Marilyn Mae Martin in Frederic, Wisconsin, on May 3, 1952.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn; and his three children, Gregory W. Paulsen, of Ironwood, Scott A. (Marlene) Paulsen, of New Brighton, Minnesota, and Michelle M. (Jose) Cruz, of Cave Creek, Arizona. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and by his brother, Brian Paulsen of Luck, Wisconsin.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Duane Paulsen.
Alvin was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge. Some of his cherished times included attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, relaxing at their cabin in Mercer, Wisconsin, and enjoying coffee and cookies with neighbors, close friends and family.
Spring burial with family will take place in Saint Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Luck, Wisconsin.
Lakeside Memorial Chapel of Wakefield was entrusted with funeral arrangements. The Paulsen family wishes to send out a special thank you to the owner, Jerald Rocco, for his kindness, compassion and professionalism.
