IRONWOOD, Mich. - AnnaMae F. (Kurta) Toth, 91, of Ironwood passed away on Dec. 8, 2020, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Community in Ironwood.
She was born on March 24, 1929, in Ironwood, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Sopko) Kurta. She attended local schools and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1947.
On Sept. 13, 1947, AnnaMae married George V. Toth. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1995.
She ran the hot lunch program at Ironwood Catholic grade school for nine years. She loved gardening and traveling to visit her grandkids.
AnnaMae is survived by her sons, Joseph Toth of Bloomington, Minnesota, Michael Toth of Belle Plain, Minnesota, and James (Tammy) Toth of Bloomer, Wisconsin; daughter, Kathleen Such of Fisher, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Toth of Ironwood; grandchildren, Stephanie (Patrick) Moore, Nathan (Karri) Toth, Joshua (Lindsey) Toth, Hannah (Sam) Mbiah, Jeremy (Arianna) Toth Jason (Jenny) Toth, Daniel Toth, and Stephen (Chrissy) Such; great-grandchildren, Jacob Moore, Tyler Kitzman, Jesse (Emily) Moore, and Ava Mae, Logan, Skylar, Griffin, Daxtyn and Jacelyn Toth; great-great-grandchild, Kiley Eliason; sister, Marion Olson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Kurta; husband, George; son, Robert Toth; brother, John Kurta; and uncle, Frank Sopko.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.
