Jason Juno/Daily Globe Snowmobilers take advantage of the newly-opened trails through Ironwood on Christmas morning. Trail 2, shown here near downtown Ironwood, was groomed to Wakefield, according to the Gogebic Range Trail Authority Facebook page, which also said to expect early-season conditions and hazards. Iron County trails were to open Friday morning at 8 a.m. Not all trails in the region are open. Ironwood received 14.4 inches of new snow over the holiday after a slow start to the season.
