Agnes M. Brody

HURLEY, Wis. - Agnes M. Brody, 99, entered into eternal life on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020.

She was born on Aug. 17, 1921, to Stephen and Anna (Lajcak) Buchko in Ironwood, Michigan, and attended A.L. Norrie School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School. On Jan. 3, 1941, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Brody at Holy Trinity Catholic Church by the late Rev Carl Petronek. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 3, 1992.

Aggie worked for the J.C. Penney Company for more than 50 years. A devote Catholic - she lived and loved her faith. She was a member of Our Lady of of Peace Catholic Church. She was talented in all homemaking skills: cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, etc.

Aggie is survived by her son, Robert W. Brody (Sharon) of Pompano Beach, Florida; daughter, Kathleen "Bunny" (George) Skoronski; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Souther of Brevard of North Carolina; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, two sisters, niece, nephew and other relatives.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Holy Hill Basilica in Hubertus, Wisconsin, at a later date. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. If desired, memorials are appreciated to Holy Hill or Our Lady of Peace.
