Heavy equipment vehicles sit on a muddy Lake Avenue near the Curry Street intersection in Ironwood on Wednesday, after the road surface was removed to start work on a complete sewer and water system replacement that will be followed by rebuilding of the road, curbs and sidewalks. The Lake Avenue project will be the largest of eight sewer and water related projects this summer.
