Craig Steven Lindberg

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Craig Steven Lindberg, 52, a resident of Ironwood Township, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 3, 2021.

Craig was born on Dec. 19, 1968, in Wakefield, the son of Roland and Carol (Leinonen) Lindberg. He attended Luther L. Wright High School and graduated in 1986.

After graduation, Craig moved to Big Rapids and attended Ferris State University. Then, Craig went on to manage a sporting goods store. After several years, he returned home.

Craig especially enjoyed his mother's cooking and appreciated listening to music. Craig and his father shared many happy times watching football and basketball games. They all loved spending time together at their cottage at Lake Gogebic.

Craig was an associate employee at Walmart in Ironwood. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him. Craig had a kind soul and a big heart. He will be dearly missed.

Craig is survived by cousins, Cheryl Derizzo, Colleen Laguna (Cookie), Susan Grimms (Steve) and Robert Leinonen (Marlene) and their children; his aunt, Mary Leinonen; second cousins, Brad and his children, Tracey (Josh) and their children, and Danny (Christin); and special friends, Floyd Ramme and family.

He was predeceased by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; a cousin, Gary Swanbeck; two uncles, Vernon Leinonen and Herbert Swanbeck; and an aunt, Elaine Swanbeck.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood.

Jerald Rocco, owner and manager of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
