THE WATERSMEET Township Cemetery honors lost veterans in this May 19 image. The Watersmeet American Legion Post 417 will conduct a Memorial Day Service at the cemetery on May 31 at 10 a.m.

Area posts of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars are again hosting Memorial Day events as the pandemic rules now allow for most outdoor and indoor events.

The Ironwood Joint Memorial Day Committee to include Ironwood American Legion Post 5, will start Memorial Day with a 10 a.m. parade moving west from the Memorial Building down McLeod Avenue to Suffolk Street, then north to Ayer Street, where wreaths will be presented with buglers.
