Sharon A. Dabb

SAGOLA, Mich. - Sharon A. Dabb, 76, of Sagola, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

She was born Nov. 10, 1944, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Jerome and Edith (Carlson) Beaulier.

Sharon attended Kingsford High School and graduated from the Luther L.Wright High School in Ironwood in 1969. She married James Dabb on May 27, 1961, in Iron Mountain. Jim's position with the Department of Natural Resources took them all over the state of Michigan.

While in the Lansing area, Sharon earned a degree in sign language from the Lansing Community College. She enjoyed the many people she helped throughout the years, both young and old.

Sharon was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Sagola, the National Rifleman's Association (NRA), and a very active member of Safari Club International (SCI). She loved doing ceramics and crafts, and was an excellent seamstress. Sharon would play the piano for hours and was an excellent pianist. Sharon's greatest passion was her 30-plus years of genealogy research.

She enjoyed fishing, especially brook trout. Sharon was also an avid hunter of many species including deer, turkey, elk, bison and wild boar. Jim and Sharon loved to travel and took many trips to Alaska. On several of those trips they were able to take the grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, in 2017, and an infant sister, Ardis E. Beaulier.

Sharon is survived by her sons, Kenneth A. (Gerilynn) Dabb of Norway and Michael J. (Kathy) Dabb of Ironwood; a brother, Jerome E. (Linda Ann) Beaulier of St. Andrews, Scotland; four grandchildren, Brandon Dabb and Ryan (Liberty) Dabb, William Dabb, Heather Dabb; and five great-grandchildren, Walker Dabb, Hudson Dabb and Teagan Dabb, Conor Giesau, Lily Anna Dabb.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Ryan Flunker will officiate. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park.
