Nancy Marie Borseth

RAMSAY, Mich. - Nancy Marie Borseth, beloved mother of five, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at home.

Nancy was born on March 4, 1941, in Ironwood. She was the daughter of Elmer and Ellen Allen. Nancy grew up in Ramsay, attended the Ramsay school and graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer in 1959.

Nancy enjoyed life and loved her children dearly. She was passionate about giving care to others. She enjoyed playing smear with her friends and being in numerous smear tournaments. Being an avid reader, she always had a book in her hand. Nancy loved her home, always decorating it beautifully. Mom loved shopping, bowling and gathering with friends and family.

Nancy is survived by her children, Lisa Borseth, of Ironwood, David Olexa, of Ramsay, James Olexa, of Ramsay, and Curtis Olexa, of Iron River; siblings, Bruce Allen, of Las Vegas, Connie Alessandroni, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Gail Armichandy, of Bessemer; her ex-husband, Duane Borseth, of Hurley, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy is also survived by her four grandchildren that she loved with all her heart, Curtis Olexa Jr., Amber Olexa, Justin Olexa and Michael Johnson; and her great-grandson, Ridley.

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Susan Lynn Olexa on March 9, 1986; sister, Myrna Peterson; ex-husband, Matthew Olexa; sister-in-law, Patricia Allen; brother-in-law, Peter Peterson; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Olexa.

Nancy loved all. She went to see Sue.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wakefield American Legion on July 31, from 2 to 6 p.m.
