Marion Revoy

WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Marion Revoy, 103, of Ironwood, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield.

Marion was born on March 11, 1918, to John and Amelia (Slivensky) Kichak, where she grew up with brothers, John, Joseph and Frank; and sisters, Elsie and Regina; as well as nephew, John Jr. All have preceded her in death.

She attended Norrie School in Ironwood and graduated from St. Ambrose Catholic School with the class of 1936.

She was united in marriage to John Revoy on Sept. 4, 1939. They were married for 63 years until his death in 2002. They were blessed with four daughters, Marie, Pat, Barbara (deceased), and Tess.

After the birth of their last daughter, Marion began her career at S.S. Kresge, Jupiter and K-mart, retiring after 28 years.

Marion was a member of the Altar Society at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, serving as treasurer for two years. She was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Branch 17 and was secretary for 20 years. She was in the Holy Trinity choir and later the Resurrection Choir at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She belonged to the Rosary Group and volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul.

She is survived by children, Marie (Ronnie) Suprenant of Ironwood, Pat (Dave PID) Rasmussen of Ironwood and Tucson, Arizona, and Tess (Peter) Upton of Marshfield, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Jeff, Susan, Roberta and Mark (Carri) Suprenant, Dale (Pam) Rasmussen, Donna (Mark) Reinerio, Michael (Jodi) Fricke, Stephanie (Chris) North, Jessica (Tony) Wilder, and Nathan Upton (fiancée Tanya Johnson); great-grandchildren, Derek (Rachele) Rasmussen, Kyle Rasmussen (Bethany Russell), Samantha, Abigail and Brianna North, Emery Wilder and Madilyn Upton; and great-great-grandson, Ryder Rasmussen.

Our mom led a full life. She and Dad visited Florida for 26 years. They loved dancing at Bingo's in Wakefield on Saturday nights. She has now moved to her heavenly home, meeting up with loved ones that have gone before her.

Thank you to the staff of Gogebic Medical Care Facility who cared for mom with love and respect. Thank you to all that visited her. We are going to miss mom and her wisdom but know that she is at peace with family and friends, especially dad and daughter, Barbara Fricke. Her kind and loving spirit was felt by everyone her life touched.

A celebration of life will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church on Saturday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m., preceded by a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. A luncheon will follow at the Elk and Hound Country Club.

The family has chosen McKevit-Patrick Funeral Home of Ironwood to honor Marion's legacy of life. You can leave a condolence or a tribute at mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.
