Construction crews apply concrete to the roundabout on Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 2 and U.S. 51 in Hurley. The rust-colored concrete is applied to an apron that is adjacent to the driving lanes, including the middle of the roundabout. The aprons are constructed to support heavy trucks that may take more space than the lane allows while navigating the circle. The rust color is a visual aid to help motorists to stay in their lane.
