Judith J. 'Judy' Sullivan

SAXON, Wis. - Judith J. "Judy" Sullivan, 82, of Saxon, passed away at home Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on July 5, 1939, in Ironwood, Michigan, to Gideon and Saima Lydia (Abramson) Hill of Ironwood.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Edward Sullivan; her children, Gregory (Dorothy) Saari, Cynthia (Eugene) Reinke and Darin (Rebecca) Saari; six grandchildren, Joshua Barto, Ryan Saari, Evan Saari, Paul Saari, Paytan Saari and Melanie Saari; two step-grandchildren, Jason (Angela) Reinke and Jenny Thomer; two great-grandchildren, June and Franklin; four step-great-grandchildren, Landen, Lilly, Brayden and Carter; her sister, Nancy Magdziak; a special friend and helper, Les Rizert; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Irja; siblings, Gladys (Hill) Brabandt, Rudolph Hill, Lorraine (Hill) Makela, Eugene Hill, Shirley (Hill) Tiilika, Vernon Hill and Merlin Hill; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Sullivan, Dorothy Marchant, Gerald Sullivan, Margie Hallisey, Daniel Sullivan and Mary Ann Thurow.

Judy owned the Driftwood Bar and Campground for 48 years and was known for her excellent fish fries and burgers.

Judy had a deep love of animals and had many pets over the years. She left behind her Pomeranian, Watson, who stayed with her until her passing.

She was an avid Packer fan and made sure she wore her green and gold whenever they played. Her legendary green thumb was evident whenever you looked at the flower beds she planted and maintained.

The family is planning a celebration of her life to be held at a later date.
