BIG PINE KEY, Fla. — Teresa Fleming Davis passed away peacefully on Dec. 9, 2021, in the Florida Keys.
Teresa was born on July 12, 1953, in Wakefield, Michigan, to Raymond and Martha (Lindberg) Fleming. She was a graduate of Ewen-Trout Creek High School and worked for a local dentist before moving to the Chicago area. After marrying, she and her husband eventually moved to the Florida Keys. She had found the place she loved.
She settled in Big Pine Key and became an active member of the Moose Lodge 1585. For many years she could be found there serving food on Taco Tuesdays and helping with many other events.
Teresa loved to fish, big water or the littlest pond, and camping with family (where her filleting skills were appreciated), playing cards and games. But especially, she loved just visiting family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Martha Fleming; and her brother, Edward.
She is survived by her sisters, Judith (Chris) Fleming-Berger, Bruce Crossing, Michigan, Sandra (Bob) Vander Zee of Delavan, Wisconsin; niece, Anne Vander Zee; nephews, Tyler and Wade Fleming, Lucas Berger, and David and Michael Vander Zee; grands, Aybri and Isaac; aunts and cousins; and her special friend, Jim Phelps.
A memorial will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Bruce Crossing, when it is warm enough for her to want to come home.
