Ironwood celebrates First Friday

A barricade and sandbags mark where the snow covered sidewalk meets the newly flooded and frozen ice skating loop in Ironwood's Downtown City Square Wednesday morning. City officials hope to have the ice loop ready in time for the monthly First Friday celebration, and plan to have it open through the rest of winter.

IRONWOOD - Ironwood is celebrating the first Friday of the month with the theme of "love your neighbor." There will be a vendor fair, a film screening at the Historic Ironwood Theatre and a collaborative pride fashion show from 5-6 p.m. at Time Again Studios in downtown Ironwood.

"Guests are asked to wear their best, in fashion and in solidarity, for what it means to love all and exclude none!" according to the event Facebook page. "The show starts at 5 p.m. sharp and highlights an array of local talents and Superior Holistic textiles. Featured...
