Bernita Lee Bieniewski

PAULDING, Mich. - Bernita Lee (nee Dembroski) Bieniewski, 67, a lifelong resident of Paulding, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

If you are reading this then it means I have gone on to be with the Lord and the loved ones who have gone on before me. My greatest joy in life has been time spent with James and my grandkids, Brittany, Casey and Devin; and great-grandkids, Easton, Paisley, Addison and Raven and Hailey. A great-grandson, Wyatt (Devin's son) who was adopted by the Roy family, and we have never met. My greatest heartache was Devin's death on Oct. 27, 2018!

Included in my greatest joys are family and friends and "My Tuesday Sisters!" I was blessed with a black Lab, "Lady," who I am now with, and "Bella," who will not understand why I don't come home and will look for me!

The blessings I have had would take volumes to write! Life was an adventure in the big things and the small and I appreciated all the roads I got to travel down and all the people I got to meet along the way! People came into my life and some were only passing through and some came to stay a little while and some for a lifetime. I appreciated them all!

I loved to laugh! Yet, life also had its disappointments and sorrows!

My passion was for the Daffodil Memorial Mile (Paulding) where thousands of daffodils are planted in memory of cancer warriors and those who have lost their battle. Our Veteran's Memorial Honor Garden is planted at the Maple Grove Town Hall.

I married James, the love of my life, on June 23, 1990! I wish we could have had a lifetime together! He was amazing!

I was born to Eleanor and John Dembroski on March 5, 1954. My family consisted of my sisters, Wanda (Jim Pietila), Carolyn Lux (deceased), Hilma (Paul Feltner), Addie Beauchaine and my only brother, Leonard (deceased); my sons, Branon and Jaime Suomumaki; grandgirls, Brittany (Andrew and Addison and Easton and Paisley Mettler) and Casey Suomumaki (Raven and Hailey Eldridge) and a grandson, Devin (Wyatt).

If I have brought you laughter, comfort, friendship, love, or made you feel that you mattered... then my life was well lived... I will see you on the other side...

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21, at 1 p.m. EDT, at the Ewen Centennial Hall, 295 S. Cedar St., Ewen, MI 49925.
