Jill Annette Mansfield

IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. - Jill Annette Mansfield, 61, of Watersmeet, passed away Thursday Feb. 24, 2022, at Dickinson County Hospital in Iron Mountain, ending a brief yet merciless battle with cancer.

Jill was born Nov. 16, 1960, to the late Floyd "Swede" and Dawn McIntyre of Trout Creek. She was a fun-loving girl that was well known in her small hometown where she attended the Ewen-Trout Creek School. After school, Jill started her family and her career in customer service. Her fun-loving attitude helped her through her years of customer service and made her many friends along the way. Jill left Trout Creek for several years, building her family in the Iron River and Crystal Falls areas.

In 1991, she met Gregory Mansfield of Watersmeet, whom she married a year later and spent 29 wonderful years with him before her passing. Jill also enjoyed spending time watching the birds on the feeders in her front yard. Her happiest moments could be considered spending time with her grandchildren.

Jill is survived by her husband, Greg of Watersmeet; two daughters, Heather McIntyre of Trout Creek and Amber (William) Rajala of Iron River; son, Brandon (Michelle) Green of Curtis; and eight grandchildren, Mason, Makayla, Marlie, Trevor, Tyler, Carson, Caleb and Bailey. Jill is further survived by a sister, Chris (Mick) Pinar of Trout Creek; niece, Mikki; two nephews, Dwayne and Derek; along with many more extended family and friends.

Jill was proceeded in death by her loving parents, Floyd "Swede" McIntyre and Dawn (Manning) McIntyre.

Friends and family may come celebrate the life of Jill on Sunday, March 6, at 1 p.m. CST at the Watersmeet Community Center. The family would love to hear your stories and memories of Jill.
