Thomas Louis Paulman

BERGLAND, Mich - Chief Thomas Louis Paulman, 63, passed away on May 1, 2022, after a long battle with his medical conditions.

Tom was born in Wakefield on Oct. 18, 1958, to Louis and Barbara Paulman. Tom served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1976 to 1980. He worked for many communities as water superintendent including Bergland and Trout Creek.

Tom was the fire chief for the Bergland Volunteer Fire Department for 28-plus years, retiring in 2021. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors.

Tom is survived by his brother, David Paulman.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Barbara Paulman; and brother, James Paulman.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bergland on June 1 at 4 p.m. A small luncheon will take place at the Bergland Fire Department and Town Hall following the burial.
