IRONWOOD, Mich. - Alan John Skelton, 70, was called home to be with our Lord on June 4, 2022.
He was born on May 26, 1952, in Minneapolis. He was the eldest son of Howard Reel Skelton Jr. (deceased) and Alta Jane (Griese) Hummel (deceased).
After earning a degree at Stout State University in Menomonie, Wisconsin, he went on to become an instructor at the Gogebic Community College in Ironwood. He enjoyed the great outdoors, sailing and spending time with his many friends and family.
He is survived by stepmother Amie Skelton, 83, of Brackettville, Texas; sister, Jean Nette Emily Johnson, 66, of Parks, Arizona; sister, Debra Ann Bebb, 64, of Chandler, Arizona; brother, Eric Thomas Skelton, 58, of Monroe, Wisconsin; and a niece and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas George Skelton.
Alan requested an intimate family gathering.
