IRONWOOD, Mich. — Sarah Lynn Rhenlund, 56, of 165 E. Michigan Ave., in Ironwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer for 11 years.
Sarah is survived by her mother, Sharon (Brian) Laabs, Ironwood; three brothers, Ronald (Stephanie) Rhenlund, Kimball, Wisconsin, and Mark (Missy) Rhenlund and Brian Rhenlund, both of Ironwood; two sisters, Lisa Rhenlund, Hurley, Wisconsin, and Sheryl (Larry) Rosga, Aurora, Minnesota; her loving boyfriend and partner, Matt Broitenseldt; numerous dear nieces and nephews; and many caring friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Rhenlund Sr .; her maternal grandparents, Isaac and Mary Hautamaki; her paternal grandparents, Arvid and Helen Rhenlund; a niece, Sandra Wesa, a nephew, Joshua Wesa; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Sarah’s family meant everything to her. She was so much loved.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
