IRONWOOD, Mich. - Charlotte Elizabeth May Morzenti, age 84, of Hurley, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital. She was born May 27, 1938, in Ironwood, the daughter of Quentin W. and Elizabeth May (Herlevi) Minkin.
In 1956, she graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. In 1956, she married Robert Wenzel Movrich, in Wakefield. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1974. For a number of years, she managed Fashion Floors in Bessemer, and prior to retiring in 1996, she worked for the American Budget Inn in Hurley.
On Dec. 8, 1983, she married Ron Morzenti, in Duluth, Minnesota. For many years, Ron and Charlotte would travel between their homes in Ocala, Florida, and Hurley. She was a loving homemaker and was a volunteer and president of the Grandview Hospital Auxiliary. Charlotte enjoyed knitting, going for walks, flower gardening, mowing her lawn, and keeping her yard in pristine condition. She was a strong woman who was well known and loved.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Morzenti; seven children, Diane (Joseph) Bloom, Gerald (Melissa) Movrich, Holly (Paul Edmark) Movrich, Jeffrey (Lori) Morzenti, Sara (Robert) Guski, Linda (Joseph) Manzanares and Paul (Jennifer) Morzenti; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three siblings, June Riordan, Quentin (Jill) Minkin and Pamela (Jeffrey) Nunn; her special baby pet companion, Nikole; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert "Bobby" Movrich in 2017; and a brother, William "Bill" Minkin.
Services will be held at a later date.
The Frost Home for Funerals and Ashland Crematory Service are assisting the family with arrangements.
