Randolph 'Randy' Lee Hemming Sr.

WAKEFIELD, Mich. - On the morning of March 20, 2023, Randolph "Randy" Lee Hemming Sr., of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly in Duanesburg, New York, at the age of 55.

Randy was born in Wakefield on Sept. 20, 1967. He graduated from Wakefield High School in 1985.

Randy found eternal love when he met Roberta in 1992. He later married the love of his life in May 1996. Randy was always known as a hardworking man and known for his unconditional love he had for his family especially his wife, Bobbie, and his children who he cherished with all of his heart.

Randy made a career out of driving truck for more than 30 years. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time coaching his kids as well as others in various sports. His kids will always remember his tough love, as he pushed them to be the best that they possibly could.

Randy also enjoyed spending time with extended family, camping, boating, hunting, and going out to the family camp. He loved celebrating holidays with one another, but his favorite was celebrating July 3rd with friends and family with a bonfire out in Thomaston. Randy had a big heart and helped people in any way that he could.

He is survived by a strong family and will be greatly missed by his wife, Roberta Hemming; his children, Kenneth Brunell Jr. (Bridgette), Andrew Brunell (Natasha), Mathew Brunell (Alicia), Randolph Hemming Jr., Ryan Hemming and Heather Heikkila (Nicholas); and will forever love his grandchildren, Camdyn, Carstyn, Aurora, Natalee, Liam, Jade, Zion, Brextyn, Makaylyn, Rowan, Miles, Liam and Jaxon. He is also survived by his siblings, Ronald (Diane) Hemming, Ralph (Ann Marie) Hemming Jr., Russell (Patty) Hemming and Richard (Dawnette) Hemming.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hemming Sr .; his mother, Dorothy Hemming; and his siblings, Carol, Robert and Barbara.

A memorial service will be held at the Cornerstone Church in Ramsay, on Saturday, March 25, by Pastor Todd Winkler. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m, with the funeral service at 2 p.m. There will be a small luncheon to follow in the basement of Cornerstone Church.
