Debbie A. Alonen

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Debbie A. Alonen, 70, of Ironwood, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.

Deb was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Ironwood, and was the daughter of the late James A. and Hazel M. (Mansfield) Peite. She attended Ironwood Catholic School and graduated in 1971.

Deb worked at several places throughout her life including The Donut King, Red Owl, MFC Bank and the Grand View Clinic.

She married the love of her life, Richard A. Alonen, on Nov. 10, 1973.

Deb is survived by her husband, Richard; a daughter, Tiffanie (Dan Erspamer), Port Charlotte, Florida; a son, Travis (Dora Schaad), Ironwood; a grandson, Josh Quello (Autem Seabrook), Hobart, Wisconsin; a sister, Darcy (Henry) McPherson; two sisters-in-law, Edrye (Jim) Harma and Pat Erickson; two brothers-in-law, John (Patty) Alonen and Eddie Alonen; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Angela, Keagan, Desiree, Paul, Mike, David, Brian, Jason, Lynda and Ashley. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Kylie and Xena.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother-in-law, David Erickson; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Alonen.

Deb's greatest joy in life was her family. She always put everyone first before herself. Deb was patient, kind, loving and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed her dogs, gardening and going on side-by-side rides.

Deb was also anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great-grandson in August. She will be missed immensely and never forgotten. Rest in peace - until we meet again.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
