HURLEY, Wis. - James A. Giuliano, 74, of Hurley, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota.
Jim was born on April 28, 1948, in Ironwood, Michigan. He was the son of Alfred Giuliano and Mary Chiapusio.
Jim attended J.E. Murphy High School and graduated in 1966. He married Karen E. Rintala on July 25, 1970, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley.
Jim worked as a carpenter with co-owner Jon Morzenti, operating Morzenti and Giuliano Construction.
Jim served as a volunteer fireman and on the zoning board for the city of Hurley.
Jim is survived by his wife, Karen; a daughter, Gina (Jeff) Madden; a son, James (Courtney) Giuliano Jr .; four grandchildren, Paige, Kylie, Alexander and Anthony; a sister, Shirley (David) Lipske; a brother, Ron (Jenny) Chiapusio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Chiapusio; and fathers, Alfred Giuliano and John Chiapusio.

The family chose to honor Jim's life in a private funeral service.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jerald Rocco, Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, Michigan.
