Scott M. Schlicher

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Scott M. Schlicher, 61, of Ironwood, passed away on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood.

Scott was born on April 28, 1961, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He graduated from St. Ambrose High School and Gogebic Community College. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville; after which he returned to the Ironwood area.

Scott was known and loved by many in the community. He enjoyed his time chatting with people from all over on his citizens band radio and ham radio and went by the handle, "Sundance." He also enjoyed games of billiards and cribbage.

Scott loved his work at his family's flower shops (Lutey's and Bev's) for many years and brought smiles to many when he would make deliveries and talk with the recipients to brighten their day.

Scott married his love, Lora, on April 28, 2015, in a small ceremony with close family and friends.

Scott is survived by his brother, Chris (Erik); his wife, Lora; three children, Samantha, Kye and Denarah (Axel); and seven grandchildren, Zeekiel, Leliana, Tobias, Athena, Valerie, Adrina and Scarlett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James H. and Adelinde "Linda" Schlicher; and his grandparents, George and Hannah.

Scott will be loved and missed more than words can say.

There will be a celebration of Scott's life on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Rigoni's Inn, 925 E. Ayer St., in Ironwood.

Donations may be made in Scott's memory to HOPE Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 261, Ironwood, MI 49938 - a cause that was very dear to his heart.
