Scott Michael Peterson

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Scott Michael Peterson, 57, of Ironwood, passed away this week after a short bout with lung cancer.

Scott was a lifelong resident of Ironwood.

He was born in Wallace, Idaho, on Dec. 2, 1966, the son of Terry Ann Ruby and the late Lawrence "Lee" Peterson. Scott attended the Ironwood Area Schools.

Scott worked at Northwoods Rental as an Arctic Cat mechanic for many years. During the last 10 years, he worked as a fabricator and manager for Kaufman Custom Sheet Metal. One of his projects was creating the new teepee on Bald Mountain in Ironwood Township. He enjoyed ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiling, bicycling, and anything outdoors.

Surviving are three sisters, Lisa Campbell (Rex), Paula DeCicco, and Kristine (Tim) Biermeier; Aunt Michele Skovera; Uncle Mark (Linda) Skovera; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home in Ironwood.
