GOGEBIC COUNTY — In the race for seven seats on the Gogebic County Commission, the closest call among unofficial results in Tuesday’s primary election was for District 1, wherein incumbent Dan Siirila beat Bob Michaels, 143-141. They are both Republicans.
In District 6, which covers Wakefield and Wakefield Township, Republican Michael Yon earned 200 votes versus Democratic incumbent Bob Orlich with 124.
In District 3, incumbent Democratic incumbent James Byrns earned 173 votes versus Republican Dan Wood’s 111.
Other races were uncontested.
