BESSEMER — Memories fade over the course of 60 years. Carl Gregas doesn’t remember a whole lot about the big game. For Jim Milakovich, the exact feelings are hard to pin down six decades later.
What’s helped is Thomas Pelissero’s book, “Bring One Home,” which Milakovich read in one day. Andy Hill, who was there watching as a fan, could hear the radio voice of Bob Olson coming through the pages.
