LAST SPLASH OF WINTER

SKIING ACROSS a man-made pond during a Saturday "Slush Cup" is Victoria Kuhn, a ski instructor for Snowriver Mountain Resort, which sponsored the annual event at its Black River Basin site in Bessemer Township. The opportunity, which included music and inspired a lot of costumes and a happy audience, was an apt way to close out the winter season as all ski hills and snowmobile trails are now closed, with some ATV riding already starting on some trails.
