GCMTA members get MSP recruitment report

MARENISCO TOWNSHIP — Members of the Gogebic County Chapter of the Michigan Township Association learned at their latest meeting on May 26 that recruitment has become more difficult for the Michigan State Police.

First Lt. John Kelly, the commander of MSP Post 86 in Wakefield, told the association that his post is trying to recruit another cadet, with the requirement that the person be above 18 years of age.

At this time, the post has 10 troopers, one cadet, two sergeants, a detective, an administrator and a janitor.
