Gogebic works toward new waste management

BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners approved amending the budget to include the county’s share of a state waste management grant, about $35,000, and also approved dedicating those funds to related contractural services.

The action taken at the board’s most recent June 10 meeting was at the recommendation of Brendon Presnell, materials management coordinator for the Western Upper Peninsula Planning and Development Region in Hancock.
