IRONWOOD - It was a dramatic conclusion to this year's Milakovich Memorial golf tournament here Sunday as the outcome was determined on a one-hole playoff.
West Iron County High School graduate Riley Thomson, who now lives in Plymouth, Wisconsin, ended the drama by sinking a 10-foot putt on the No. 1 hole at the Gogebic Country Club.
The final shot also enabled his father to be crowned tourney champion for the first time since 2000.
"It has been a long stretch," Chris said. "We've been playing here for a long time. This is a great tournament. It's just fun."
