BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners has approved the 2026 winter levy, as well as federal fund distributions to townships that include national forests.
The action occurred at the board’s most recent Aug. 12 meeting.
Kathy Jo Koval, the county’s equalization director, presented the levy details.
The winter levy totals 2.5752 mills and breaks down as follows, noting that Gogebic Medical Care Facility in Wakefield is a county operation:
