    WAKEFIELD, Mich. — Carol Louraine Nyman (Erickson), 83, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at the Gogebic Medical Care Facility. Carol was born Carol Erickson on April 12, 1934, to Lloyd and Helvi Erickson. She graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley in 1952. She worked for Michigan Bell as a telephone operator until 1961, then worked at the Red Owl deli in the 1980s. She was married to John Clifford Nyman on Aug. 6, 1955. They were married for 59 years until John’s passing in 2015. She is survived by her son, Bryan, Dot...
