Connie Jean Bialek

NORWICH, Conn. — Connie Jean Bialek, 71, loving wife of Joseph F. Bialek, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015.

Connie was born to Delphine and Gunnard Johnson on Aug. 2, 1944.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Robert; son, Jerry Wiitanen; and grandson, Jeremiah Johnson.

She is survived by daughters, Pearl (Jeff) Johnson, of Wakefield, Mich., Pamela (Gary) Radtke, of Saxon, Wis., Kimberly (Mark), of West Kingston, R.I .; her son, Joseph (Wendy) Bialek, of Box Elder, S.D .; grandchildren, Jerry Johnson, Raymond, Randi and Rachel Allen, and Samantha and Devin Bialek; and one great-grandchild, Trenton Johnson.

Connie was a devoted military wife serving in the position of a Chief of the Boat Wife for the USS Nathaniel Green during the years 1976 to 1979. Connie made a beautiful home and also worked at Thermos in Norwich, during the early years of the marriage.

She always put family and friends ahead of herself. She enjoyed decorating and changing the décor of the home for the changes of the seasons. She often made the children’s clothes early on. Connie was always sensitive and supportive of people in need. Strangers seemed to seek her out and would tell her their whole life story on a first meeting.
