Delphine M. Ferrari

STATESBORO, Ga. - Delphine M. Ferrari, 93, died Friday, March 24, 2017, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro.

Delphine was born Aug. 16, 1923, to the late William Ransanici and Nancy Pezzetti Ransanici in Iron Belt, Wis. She graduated from Hurley High School in 1941. She then attended and graduated from St. Mary Hospital's School of Nursing in Madison, Wis. Her career in nursing led her to serve in the Army as a nurse during World War II. Delphine then returned and worked at Grand View Hopsital for 23 years until her retirement in 1985.

On Nov. 16, 1946, she married Louis T. Ferrari at St. Mary Church in Hurley, Wis. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Statesboro.

Delphine is preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Marie Ferrari; her mother and father; step-mother, Theresa Ransanici; and a brother, Guido Ransanici.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Rosanne Ferrari, of Ellabel; three grandchildren, Faye, Anthony and Matthew Ferrari; a sister, Marie Lewallen, of Cumming; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Sandy Ransanici, of Hurley; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ransanici, of Hurley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will hold a private service.
