Ontonagon court dates scheduled

ONTONAGON — Alan Hollon, 27, of L’Anse, waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Ontonagon Circuit Court for trial last week on multiple charges.

He is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm by a felon during commission of a felony, operating a motor vehicle with presence of a controlled substance in his body and being a habitual offender- third offense.

He will be arraigned in circuit court Nov. 3.

Wayne Paul Langston, 41, of Ewen, waived a preliminary exam and was bound over to circuit court on drug charges. Langston is charged with delivery or manufacture of cocaine and heroin, delivery or manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a felon and being a habitual offender. He will be arraigned in circuit court on Nov. 3.

Robert Johnson Jr., 45, of Bruce Crossing, was remanded to circuit court following a preliminary hearing in district court. He is accused of resisting and obstructing an officer and a misdemeanor of having a stray dog.

It is charged that Johnson’s dog was causing a disturbance at the Aspirus Clinic next door to the Johnson home and officers were called. When they approached, it is alleged Johnson denied ownership of the dog and when the deputy took the dog into her custody, Johnson grabbed the dog from her in a struggle. He is accused of violating his bond, set on a previous case.

On Sept. 8, Johnson pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of fleeing and eluding an officer, fourth-degree, and will be sentenced Nov. 3.
