Geraldine 'Geri' Sikkila

BRUCE CROSSING, Mich. — Geraldine “Geri” Sikkila, 90, of Bruce Crossing, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wes; her parents, Carl and Cecelia Conrad; and her brothers, Terry (Bunny) Conrad and Donald Conrad.

Geri is survived by a son, Kim (Jean) Sikkila; a daughter, Mary (Tom) Cousineau; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. They all loved their Nanny dearly.

Geri was employed at Nordine’s Food Stores in the local area for 40 years.

Upon her retirement, Geri loved playing cards and bingo at the Ewen Senior Center. She was a member of the Crossroads Senior Club in Bruce Crossing and the Community Action Agency.

Geri loved to be with her family, and her home was always open to welcome her family and friends. She loved sitting outside and watching traffic.

A spring celebration of Geri’s life will take place at the Apostolic Lutheran Church in Bruce Crossing, on Saturday, May 11, 2024, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. EDT, and the service starting at 2 p.m. EDT.

She will be buried alongside her husband, Wes, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen.
