    BESSEMER — The Mackinac Center for Public Policy recently presented Bessemer’s Washington Elementary School with an award for outstanding achievement. Superintendent Dave Radovich said Washington School received an “A” rating from the MCPP. Radovich said the rating is based on demographics, student population and social economics.     LAKE GOGEBIC, Mich. - Anna Mae (Miskovich) Richards, 78, a long-time resident of Lake Gogebic, passed away peacefully Monday morning, March 21, 2016, surrounded by loved ones. Anna Mae was born on Nov. 8, 1937, in Wakefield, a daughter of Steve and Mary Ann (Grivicich) Miskovich. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1956.
