    IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — Ironwood started off the soccer season with a 2-1 loss to perennial Northern Lights Conference power Three Lakes Tuesday. Ironwood coach Don Cvengros thought his Red Devils were in trouble going into the game. With spring break, they haven't practiced at all yet.     BESSEMER - The Gogebic County 4-H club is looking for adult mentors to help with its "4-H Tech Wizards" program to launch soon. The "Tech Wizards" program will meet once a week and participate in a variety of STEAM - science, technology, engineering, art and math - activities, such as programming Lego robots, rocketry and geocaching.     IRONWOOD, Mich. - Kenneth A. Pakonen, 83, of Ironwood and formerly White Pine, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 12, 2015, in Ironwood. Kenneth was born April 30, 1931, in Phelps, Wis., son of the late Toivo and Alma (Haaro) Pakonen. He attended the Roosevelt Grade School in Ironwood Township and graduated from the Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood with the class of 1949. He was a member of the ROTC and served in the National Guard until his Honorable Discharge on Jan. 26, 1962....
