The large bay doors of the program's workshop were open and the various metal and woods products were displayed for visitors to see the types of goods prepared by the students.   • Charges pending in fatal Saxon crash

    By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] HURLEY — Charges are pending in the March 27 logging truck-car accident on U.S. 2 in Saxon, Wis., that resulted in the death of a former Ironwood resident. Amanda Schiiller, 31, of Menominee, was a passenger in a car driven by Jesse Gasper, 34, of Duluth, who was seriously injured in the crash.     HURLEY, Wis. - Isabelle "Belle" Elizabeth Bertolino was named after two queens by her sister, and was born to Polish parents, Kostec and Magdalena "Margaret" Wyzlic, in Ironwood, Mich., on April 26, 1925. The seventh of 10 children in the family, she attended school in Ironwood, graduating from Luther L. Wright High School in 1944, where home economics was her favorite subject. She worked at Hervala's Photography Studio before marrying Willis Bertolino, her husband of almost 70 years, on July 24... Full story
