PLACERVILLE, Calif. - Helen B. Carr, 99, formerly of Ironwood, Michigan, passed away on June 1, 2022. She was born on Aug. 12, 1922, in Ironwood Township on the family farm, the daughter of William and Ada (Kivi) Estola. KINGSFORD, Mich. - Joyce A. O'Krongly, 87, of Kingsford, passed away June 8, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, Iron Mountain. She was born Oct. 7, 1934, in Ironwood, daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Laitila) Mattson. Joyce grew up and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. MINOCQUA, Wis. - James (Jim) Pietila was born in Flint, Michigan, on Dec. 1, 1935, to Julius and Impie Susan (Stenfors) Pietila. He passed away peacefully on June 8, 2022, at the age of 86 at the Marshfield Medical Center from a massive stroke.
