    IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — The Ironwood Township Board of Trustees discussed a letter sent to local residents regarding fundraising for the Ironwood Carnegie Library during a meeting Monday. Trustee Kevin Lyons asked resident Kit Malloy if she had received the letter from library director Elaine Erickson. Malloy attended the last meeting with a group of residents asking if it could help both the township and library in having contracted services again after the contract was voided earlier this year.     RAMSAY — The Bessemer Township board met on Monday night to discuss new business including garbage concerns, health insurance and tax collection. Communications and reports were put on file and there was no unfinished business. Supervisor Jeffrey Randall informed the board that the Bessemer Township Planning Commission will meet tonight at 5 p.m. in Ramsay, but that it should be a shorter meeting.   • 'Home for the Holidays' adoption event coming to Ontonagon

    ONTONAGON - Ontonagon County Animal Protection (OCAP) will hold a "Home for the Holidays" adoption event and open house at the shelter on Saturday from noon until 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Erin Tucker has donated her time to trim nails for both cats and dogs from 1 to 3 p.m. OCAP's mission is to find good homes for all the animals in its care.
