    IRONWOOD - Ironwood started practice with a new coach for the first time in six years. Ryan Niemi took over the helm this year and the Red Devils started practice as did other Michigan teams on Monday. The Red Devils had 22 players on the first day, but Niemi said they expect to have between 32 and 34. Ironwood went through a lot of new stuff on the first day.     MARSHFIELD, Wis. — Lawrence W. Jackson, 74 of Watersmeet, Mich., died on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. Larry was born in Michigan on Dec. 1, 1940. He was married to Patsy Sivits on July 27, 1962, in Battle Creek, Mich. He was employed with the Gogebic County Highway Department and also the Michigan State Park System.     IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP — With a deadline a couple months away and more information needed, the Ironwood Township Board of Trustees tabled a request from the Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress for a temporary reduction of taxes on the Mill Trace Apartments.
