The non-homestead property tax rate for the school will now continue to be 18 mills, or $18 per every $1,000 of taxable valuation, and it will allow the school to continue to receive its maximum funding. The district must ask voters to approve the tax paid by business and rental property owners every four years. Dorothy was born on March 21, 1928, in Ironwood, a daughter of Clinton and Teresa Hagelin. On Nov. 18, 1948, Dorothy married John Kusz Sr. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ironwood. The late Rev. BESSEMER — A question of whether or not to allot funds to the Gogebic County Council of Veterans Affairs has created a difference of opinions among governmental entities in Gogebic County.
