Glen M. Pretti

MOUNT HOREB, Wis. - Glen M. Pretti, 50, died on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at his home with family at his side.

He was born Nov. 21, 1965, to Louis and Mary K. (Moha) Pretti. He graduated from Hurley High School in 1984 and attended Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, Mich., where he played basketball for the Generals. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in real estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1989. He was an independent commercial real estate broker for more than 25 years at DSI and Coldwell Banker. He coached Wisconsin Hoops Select Basketball, Mt. Horeb School Basketball, and Tri-County. He loved the outdoors especially hunting with his son, Hunter, and friends at Tanglewood Ranch in Mineral Point. One of the things Glen loved to do the most was to teach and coach the game of basketball especially with his daughter, Serena. His hobby was to smoke brisket and pork "butts" and share them with family and friends. On Aug. 25, 1996, he married the love of his life, Patricia "Trish" Nolden and took his step-daughter, Courtney, as his own.

Survivors include his wife, Trish; their children, Courtney, Serena and Hunter all at home; father, Louis F. Pretti of Montreal; siblings, Kay, Jerry (Mary Beth), Gene (Alison), Jan, and Paul (Kelly) Pretti; mother-in-law, Geraldine Nolden of Belleville; brothers-in-law, Gary (Sue), Donny (Teri), Dennis (Lisa), Rick (Sue), David (Becky), Randy (Tiffany), and Bobby (Faye) Nolden; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary K. Pretti; a sister in infancy, Barbara Ann Pretti; and father-in-law, Harold Nolden.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Oct. 10, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Madison, with Fr. Tafadzwa Kushamba officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Ellestad Camacho Funeral Home in Mount Horeb.

Following the Mass in Madison, a celebration of life will continue at The Grumpy Troll Pizzeria, Mount Horeb.
