Snake Hunt tourney draws 56 fishermen to Gile Flowage

WAITING FOR measurements at the end of the Snake Hunt Fishing Tournament on Saturday is Mike Mullen of Montreal, who came in first for total inches of 10 northern pike caught, along with his partner, Art Lardinois of Gile. The two men caught a total of 216.75 inches. Mark Radovich measured the fish, and Terry Myers recorded results at left. The tournament operated from the County C boat launch of the Gile Flowage.

GILE, Wis. - Saturday's Snake Hunt Fishing Tournament drew 28 boats and 56 registrants and resulted with five pairs winning in overall inches of up to 10 fish. Two men split the honor of catching the longest single fish.

Operating out of the County C boat launch on the Gile Flowage, the contest accepted only northern pike, according to Curt Myers, who was manning the measuring table, where his wife, Terry, was recording inches measured by Mark Radovich.
